　あきらめる前に書いた方がいいです。今 README には autoconf
なんて一言も書いてないわけですから、質問が来てもある部分しかたが
ないです。

　逆に書いてあるのに報告が来たならば、何度でも「何でキミは文書
読まないの」 (RTFM!) と言ってあげればいいことです。

　文書に書く、というのは立派な解決策だと思いますよ。
