Do you think it doesn't matter if old versions (specified by date) 
are possible to reproduce?

I have several times found it useful to be able to "go back in 
time", and I think it is quite unfortunate that the archives have 
been made more or less useless in this respect.

I don't know any details about what has happened to the archives, 
but it seems like the recent "import" of a new version of the 
"Oniguruma code" is the direct cause.

Are there inherent problems with import?
Or was the import not done the way it is supposed to be done in CVS?
