REXML::Functions.name() is defined because name() is an XPath function, and 
REXML evaluates XPath functions using reflection.  While this behavior may 
change in the future as a result of performance issues, currently that's how 
it works.  The same goes for id().

While this may be poor form from an aesthetic view, it has very little 
practical impact; nobody should be using the Functions class except the XPath 
module.  If a programmer does choose to use the class, then caveat lector.  
In fact, if there's any argument about the Functions class, it is whether to 
make the entire thing private to REXML, rather than whether to rename methods 
so they don't conflict with expected behavior.
