[#19075] Request For Removal: No Operator Concatenation — James Gray <james@...>

I'm disappointed that Ruby still supports this goofy syntax:

Hi,

We decided that rubylibdir should consider --program-prefix and
--program-suffix configure options, at the developer-meeting-20080922
(http://redmine.ruby-lang.org/wiki/ruby/DevelopersMeeting20080922).

For example, you will get /usr/local/lib/ruby-rev20000/1.9.0 when

 % ./configure --prefix=/usr/local --program-suffix=-rev20000
 % make && make install
 % ruby-rev20000 -rrbconfig -e "puts RbConfig::CONFIG['rubylibdir']"

I think RubyGems should do like this. And probably RDoc too.
How about the patches I attached to this mail?
