Description updated Status changed from Open to Feedback Is it same as #11089? ---------------------------------------- Bug #11097: File names with wildcards do not expand if a path is used https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/11097#change-52252 * Author: John Costantino * Status: Feedback * Priority: Normal * Assignee: * ruby -v: ruby 2.2.2p95 (2015-04-13 revision 50295) [x64-mingw32] * Backport: 2.0.0: UNKNOWN, 2.1: UNKNOWN, 2.2: UNKNOWN ---------------------------------------- File name expansion using wildcards does not work when a path is included. This fails in 2.2.2, but works in 2.1.6. This example has no path and it works: ``` C:\Test>C:\Ruby22-x64\bin\ruby -e "puts ARGV.join(' -- ')" A*.txt A1.txt -- A2.txt -- A3.txt -- A4.txt ``` This example specifies a path and does not work: ``` C:\Test>C:\Ruby22-x64\bin\ruby -e "puts ARGV.join(' -- ')" C:\Test\A*.txt ``` *(The blank line is intentional. That is what is returned.)* -- https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/
