Yes, it would.

Additionally there is currently serious discussion on
trademarking the Perl name and using that instead of
the artistic license (which doesn't really work as it
stands).  If that went forward the Perl community would
be forced to either defend against your infringing use
or would lose any possibility of the trademark.  (This
is how the legal system is designed.  Defend it or lose
it - even if you had no desire to defend.)

So please use a name not designed to cause confusion.
(The various ROCKS versions were appealing.)
