      def foo(x)
      end

      def call_foo
         foo(lambda {|b| c = b})
         puts c                  # error
      end

 and this not ?

      def foo(x)
         x.call(24)
      end

      def call_foo
         foo(lambda {|b| c = b})
         puts c                  # 24
      end
