Subject: problem in making tk work with ruby 1.8.1

i installed ruby-1.8.1 on edura and ruby  works 
individually tclsh and wish is also working
but when tried to use tk in ruby  got the response as given below

[root@localhost ruby-1.8.1]# ruby
require 'tk'
/usr/local/lib/ruby/1.8/tk.rb:7:in `require': No such file to load -- tcltklib
(LoadError)
        from /usr/local/lib/ruby/1.8/tk.rb:7
        from -:1:in `require'
        from -:1


can any one knowledgeable help me
