Remember FreeRIDE has always used a private build of Ruby to run itself in
the Windows installation. I don't remember which version of FXRuby was being
used, but it wasn't the most recent.

Most likely the fix is because of the upgrade to Ruby 1.8.1. FXRuby was also
updated to the latest version but probably had nothing to do with it. I
didn't discover this myself because I had only tried the Windows Ruby
Installer version of 1.8.1, under which the FreeRIDE debugger does *not*
work.

It turns out that the current release of the Windows Ruby Installer has a
few problems that could explain this, and one of my goals (as one of the new
volunteers now working on the Windows Ruby Installer) is to make sure that
the next release of the Windows Ruby Installer fixes these problems.
