You can get autoconf from any GNU mirror. At prep.ai.mit.edu, its at gnu/autoconf/autoconf-2.13.tar.gz > I am running FreeBSD 3.4R. > Also, if I am updating ruby, do I need to remove any files before the make > or make install? In theory you should run configure, make clean, and make, but in practice I seem to get away with just typing 'make' after doing the cvs update. Every now and then that comes back and bits me, in which case I do it properly. Dave
