Agreed. That's exactly what I did when I began to get too
many emails from the ruby-talk mailing list -- I switched to
comp.lang.ruby and configured my news reader to sort the
ruby messages by thread. That way I can easily delete the
threads I'm not interested in.

Now that the subject headings of comp.lang.ruby posts are no
longer prefixed by serial ruby-talk numbers, any decent news
reader should be able to sort by thread.
