You can use attribute expansion by placing an "@" in front of the word 
you want to replace.

Example:

require 'amrita/template'
include Amrita

temp = TemplateText.new <<END
<form method="post" action="@action"></form>
END

temp.expand(STDOUT, :action=>"foo.cgi")

Output:
<form action="foo.cgi" method="post"></form>
