See "hashslice" by Michael Granger, available on the RAA.

require "hashslice"
h = {}
keys = %w/one two three/
vals = %w/ruby perl python/

h[*keys] = *vals

h["one"] -> 'ruby'
h["two"] -> 'perl'
h["three"] -> 'python'
