Note that the warning is produced if *any* sub-directory of a directory in the path is world writable. For example, in my case, I have my own "bin" directory in the path ... /export/home/harryo/bin. That directory isn't world writable, but Ruby picks up that one of the directories above it is (ie, /export/home in this case). H.
