Basically, the Ruby observer mix- in assumes that you are only going to be observing a single observable. Within that restriction, it's great. But I just ran into a case where I wanted to observe two things at the same time. I solved it by creating a little observable proxy class, but I think the library could be tweaked to provide the same functionality while retaining backward compatibility. The definition of add_observer would change to: def add_observer(object, methodSymbol = :update) When it comes time to actually do the update, it calls: object.method(methodSymbol).call(*args) If the client calls add_observer(obj) it behaves as it always has. But it allows the client to attach different methods to each observable that it is watching. What would it take to get a change like this into the library? I'm willing to do some or all of it, but I need to know the process. Kevin
