Subject: [ruby-talk:8537] local port mapper in Ruby?

Would it be easy/possible to write a process that maps port activity for
another app? I have an app that won't work through my company's firewall
because it's hardcoded to a blocked port. Could I intervene and map its
activity through an open port?
