My question to him was on the feasibility of replacing some portion of druby with romp (i.e. the actual communication layer). Romp is quite a bit faster than druby, and now that druby is included with Ruby, there's no reason to lament the fact that Romp is implemented in C. Paul said this is probably possible. Once the new RCR process is setup, I plan to submit one with this suggestion. Chad
