Subject: regexp unlimited: Ruby's vs Oniguruma

AFAIK Ruby's regexp engine is somewhat limited:
*  GPL, restricts commercial use.
*  i18n, cannot operate on UCS-4.
*  input, no stream-iterators, only String class.


What are the limits of Oniguruma ?

How should your Ruby regexp engine be like ?
