I happened to come across this page: http://www.yoshidam.net/Ruby.html Where I found the following: """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Perl module This is the extension module to use the functions of Perl from Ruby. This version may be fairly good. version 0.2.7 download Document (sorry, Japanese only) """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" If it's what I think it is, this could be pretty useful for calling legacy perl code from Ruby. I downloaded it and tried to compile it, but got the following message: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lgdbm I'm compiling under Linux and I did install libgdbm on my system, but it didn't help. Anyway, has anyone used this module? Are there any English docs? Phil
