My experience with Cross-Platform GUI's has shown that working with 
cross-platform GUI's means you have to cater to the absolute least 
common denominator of every platform you support.  Generally what that 
means is that you end up with a very unattractive (and therefore 
ineffective) user interface for every implementation.
