You could also do something like this:

  <html>
    <body>
      <a href="mailto:somebody@somewhere?subject=Subject&body=Body">Email
this site to a friend</a>
    </body>
  </html>

Which has the distinct advantage of sending everything through the user's
email system, whatever that may be. I'm not sure how well the construct
works across platforms, though.
