There are linguistic patterns that show up with some regularity: mismatching (consistently, *consistently* disagreeing), question to answer ratio (IOW, questions that misteriously disappear from the quoting in the troll's replies), repeated teacher mode (``recognize that...'', ``you should...''). And of course contradictions, but those happen on a larger span and are harder to track. Have a look at the `corpus' I posted (just before reading Dave's shout, eek, he'll hate me now :-\), there were patterns. I've been meaning to get into language analysis for a while, maybe it's time. ;-) And maybe it might be a project for LotY? :-) Massimiliano
