After little problems I discovered that SDL::CD.new was not a documented feature and that the only way to get an instance of SDL::CD was via SDL::CD.open. the strange thing is that the object I get from CD.new seems a valid CD object: >>> a=SDL::CD.new => # >>> b=SDL::CD.open 0 => # >>> a.methods==b.methods => true >>> b.status => 1 >>> a.status TypeError: wrong argument type SDL::CD (expected Data) So, #new is bad.. but how could I inherit from a cd object if I can't use #new? And why #new act this way ?
