You don't like that some people have criteria for languages beyond their expressive excellence. You have proven that comp.lang.ruby is no better than the Usenet average as far as welcomingness. It sure didn't take me long, it sure didn't take much of a question, and I wasn't even the slightest bit rude this time. Which confirms what I told others in comp.lang.python: it doesn't matter how nicely I say things.
