I guess gcc's include files are not correctly installed.

Find your gcc directory by:

 % gcc -v
 Reading specs from /opt/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/2.8.1/specs
 gcc version 2.8.1

and then check "include" directory:

 % ls /opt/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/2.8.1/include
