Subject: Installing ruby under AIX 4.3.1

We are attempting to install ruby under AIX 4.3.1 and
we are having heck of time doing it. The make process
complains about "mini ruby cannot load libc(shr.all).
This happens with 1.6.7 and with 1.8.0 preview3.
I verified that libc exists. 

Any word on this?
