Subject: [ANN] Ruby Babysteps Tutorial #1 online

Hi all,

I've been working on notes for a "Baby steps" tutorial. It is a very
gentle introduction to the Ruby language, intended to make a new user
feel a little more comfortable with this new language and ready to try
other resources. The first installment of this tutorial is now online,
at the following URL:

    http://coolnamehere.com/geekery/ruby/rubytut.html

If you like, you can direct your non-programming friends to that URL and
see if they like it :-)
