Subject: [ruby-talk:7335] Image manipulation in Ruby?


I'm a newbie to Ruby, and I'm wondering if there's a way to manipulate
images with Ruby.

I'm particularly interested in a Windows-based solution, but a *NIX solution
would work, too. I'm not doing anything too drastic -- just making
thumbnails from JPEGS.

Python has a solution -- the Python Imaging Library at
http://www.pythonware.com/products/pil/index.htm . I also wonder if there's
a way to talk to that solution, which seems to be an interface to a .dll
called _imaging.
