I did tried GC.start, but it had ABSOLUTELY no effect. if I put the
program in background for a while (at least 30 min, for example), it
then shrinked memory usage automatically. I am using windows 2000, and I
have a fairly big memory (320M). I wonder if I have more memory, the
Ruby GC get lazier? :)
