Joel,

It sort-of looks like the FXScintilla library (libfxscintilla.so) can't 
find the FOX library (libFOX.so). Could you tell me what output you get 
when you type the following commands:

     ldd /usr/local/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.7/i686-linux/fox.so

and

     ldd /usr/local/lib/libfxscintilla.so

?
