Subject: Compiling Ruby on AIX 4.3.3 with gcc

I have read through the archives and followed a couple of suggestions about altering the configure file to change flags for the linker, but I have had no luck. A google search didn't produce anything, either. I either get an error message about libgcc.a not being found or a symbol (__eprint [I think]) not being found.

I do not have access to 1xC program suite, so I cannot use IBM's compiler/linker.

Has anyone gotten this to work? Helps, tips, even dope-slaps would be most welcome at this point.
