We too are considering to switch over to ruby (from coldfusion) while
keeping sybase, of which we are very satisfied. All we could find was:
ftp://ftp.netlab.co.jp/pub/lang/ruby/contrib/sybct-0.2.2.tar.gz
and the author is Takaishi Tetsuhumi (from ruby's who's who). We installed
it and simple queries worked (we haven't investigated further yet)
