dRuby really has not much to do with SOAP.  dRuby is a
bit more object oriented than SOAP.  It's probably
more akin to EJB in the Java world (or really
lightweight CORBA minus the language
interoperability?).

Not to forget, the SOAP4R product that someone
mentioned earlier works great.  I have used it in
conjunction with the IBM/Apache Java SOAP libraries.
