rubyists-

i'd like to start making the transition from 1.6 to 1.8 asap, but have some
concerns over the incompatibilities which keep cropping up on this list.  what
are people's feelings on the readiness of 1.8 and what features are known
porting issues?  does anyone know of a reference/list addressing these topics?
