Subject: installing ruby-zlib on windows

I downloaded ruby-zlib-0.5.1.tar.gz from RAA but could not
find any documentation on how to install it on Windows.

I tried the usual unzip, tar and then:

C:\install> ruby extconf.rb
checking for deflateReset() in -lz... no

I know I am missing some steps.
Please help.
