I love using YAML as RPC, simply because of the ease-of-editing factor. I can edit my blog entries as YAML in Vim and then save to the RPC server. I don't have to write a GUI or a browser interface. If you're talking machine-to-machine then I see no real advantages, except that YAML can handle more of Ruby's native types. _why
