Hmm... my point was that "if it was written and working, why
shouldn't it be archived with appropriate notice?".

I've read that but for some reason (don't remember exactly now)
wanted to look at both implementations.

Well, one of the reasons I've decided to bother ruby-talk had to
do with "archiving" question floating around a while ago.

But thanks anyway.  For now, I'm stuck with mod_ruby + ruby-dbi
blowing up on 1.7.3 though... several mild attempts at hacking
around it didn't succeed, and I didn't want to break things down
further.
