It's pretty cool, and probably more efficient. Some minor optimizations:

>       def #{meth.to_s}_with_index(*args, &block)
         def #{meth}_with_index(*args)

>           block.call(n,i)
             yield(n,i)   # yield is more efficient than making a Proc
