This is not true:

$ wget http://www.sra.co.jp/people/m-kasahr/ruby/getoptlong/getoptlong.doc 2>/dev/null
$ file getoptlong.doc
getoptlong.doc: ASCII English text

just use your standard pager to read it.


A WARNING: This document suggests using eval for the purpose of assigning 
command line option values to global variables.

*** Don't ***  ever do this unless you want your users to be able to 
execute arbitrary code by means of properly crafted command line options.
