I must apologize myself Daniel I was a touch harsher than I meant to be 
and I know that you had only good intentions.

You are generally right about making some effort and you are definitly 
right when it is in relation to doing something (like a "how do I do x 
in ruby").

If I may explain, part of why I considered that you where being rude was 
your first reply seemed to suggest that you hadn't considered that he 
may have looked at the mod_ruby site for a windows binary and simply not 
found it. You also appeared to believe that he had simply made no effort 
to locate mod_ruby site. Your follow up, after he tried to clarify his 
question was very critical and harsh in tone.
