From: scp@... Date: 2002-12-28T23:02:48+09:00 Subject: Problems with TCPServer on Solaris 8 (may be my fault) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hello all, I am having issues with the TCPServer class on Solaris 8. When the port that the program is listening on is "portscanned" by nmap I get the following error and the program dies: "in `accept': Software caused connection abort (Errno::ECONNABORTED)" The same code runs fine on my Linux machines (Redhat 7.3, ruby 1.6.7). I have tried ruby versions 1.6.7 and 1.6.8 and have even tried the 1.8.0 preview, all with the same results. Do I need to write some more code to handle this, or is this a known issue with Solaris? I am kinda new to Ruby, so this may be my fault. (started coding a few weeks ago with the help of "Ruby in a Nutshell" and the online version of the "pickaxe book") I would be happy to post some code if it would help, although you may laugh at it :) . Thanks in advance for your help, scp -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: Hush 2.2 (Java) Note: This signature can be verified at https://www.hushtools.com/verify wlgEARECABgFAj4NrwERHHNjcEBodXNobWFpbC5jb20ACgkQiLP8kOqBWAh+CQCfXgrs lIpuvBlepf0k4dAkll7aAlYAn0reff1+WRpQjwEWpDRVwU/TqtLF =xXHg -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Concerned about your privacy?
