RAA maintainers never want restrict your real project name. The Project Name I wrote above is an identifier for RAA users to distinguish projects in RAA. You can choose any name for your project and show it as a "Short description" in RAA. Of cource, as one of the RAA users with less memory capacity, I like an identifier which is similar to real project name. :-) > 1. should i take the "ruby-" off? IMO, from the above point of view, I like "ruby-" name if its real name is "Ruby/AudioFile". I'm sorry but I don't know the project well so far, I think it is reasonable to have the name "Ruby/AudioFile" if there are "Perl/AudioFile" and "Python/AudioFile", too. > 2. should it be more hierarchical > (e.g., "Sound::Audiofile" -> sound-audiofile)? (probably the issue > of hierarchical stuff has been discussed a lot in raa vs. cpan > threads, but i've missed most of that) Also IMO, we don't have to mind too much about hierachical category. In RAA there are special fields for category. If it's not enough to categorize projects, we can extend this fields. In my opinion as a RAA user, I like owners to name their project a cool and original name. Regards, // NaHi
