I made an errata patch for 1.8.0-preview1 and put as below:

  ftp://ftp.ruby-lang.org/pub/ruby/1.8/ruby-1.8.0-preview1-errata.diff

This fixes a build problem on some platforms (such as mswin32) and
eliminates some annoying warnings.
