From: Johann Spies Date: 2000-10-29T05:22:52+09:00 Subject: [ruby-talk:5937] How do I use the postgres-module? I am a ruby-newby with some experience in python. I have downloaded the postgresql-module, compiled it and installed it. When I try the example in the documentation the following happens: $ruby /usr/share/doc/ruby/examples/eval.rb ruby> require "postgres" true ruby> conn = PGconn.connect("localhost", 5432, "", "", "test1") /usr/share/doc/ruby/examples/eval.rb:89: uninitialized constant \ ScriptError (NameError) The same happens when I try (as user "js" with database "js") the following: ruby > conn = PGconn.connect(,,,,"js",,) Johann -- J.H.
