From: David Suarez de Lis Date: 2000-10-28T01:18:46+09:00 Subject: [ruby-talk:5924] user installation of ruby-mode.el Hi all, I've successfully built ruby-1.6.1 under Solaris... People here uses XEmacs (instead of ViM, poor lusers ;-) [1] and so I tried to install both emacs elisp scripts, but, even when I've added the path where the modes live, the program refuses to catch them, which is very annoying... [1] Not a religious war, please, just stating my preferences, I really like Emacs but I prefer vim... btw they just have the clumsy (sort of) classical vi on this, which is definitely worse than XEmacs 20.x (although it doesn't eat so much memory) I made a local ($HOME/) install of Ruby and added (setq load-path (append load-path '( "$HOME/build/ruby-1.6.1/misc" ))) and checked it's actually added (which it is) in my .emacs . Any ideas, help? thanks a bunch, david ---------------------------------------------------------------------- + Mensaje enviado gracias al correo gratuito de Desmasiado Corp. + + http://correo.demasiado.com + ----------------------------------------------------------------------
