I see no need to choose colors based on readability by such a small percentage of the population. FWIW, I did look at the (first) vischeck simulation, and it didn't strike me as that bad. After all, this could theoretically be handled on the client side (and therefore should be) with a map of colors or something of that nature. To me, this is like saying, "Don't use any text smaller than
