Before discussing/mentioning any other operators/methods, introduce the student first of the assignment (or reference?) op. Here, you'll be introducing also basic concepts of storage. Maybe, mention that programming is just a play of storage (or objects in storage). Then, introduce him the ff two statements: x = 1 1 Then describe what goes on in first statement (x = 1). This is quite a hurdle judging fr my experience w teaching my son (a 3rd grader)... Then describe what goes on in second statement. Note second statement is syntax error on many common languages... just a thought. maybe not worth a cent since I may be wrong :-( >Chris Best regards, -botp
