I have not used Rinda, but generally speaking you're going to have 
trouble using FXRuby w/threads on Windows with Ruby 1.6.7 or Ruby 
versions 1.7.2 and earlier. Put another way -- the bug has been fixed in 
the CVS for Ruby versions 1.6.8 and 1.7.3.
