From: Rob Partington Date: 2002-11-09T02:38:25+09:00 Subject: mmap() in an extension blatting $stdin ? I wrote an extension which mmap's a binary file for extensive frobbing and, somehow, it blats my $stdin and ARGF. rjp> less test.rb require "extension" a = Extension.new("moo") ARGF.each { |i| p i } If I do "ruby test.rb < file.txt", or otherwise try to pipe something into $stdin, I get the contents of my binary mmap'd file. If I do "ruby test.rb file.txt", I get the contents of my file. Removing the "require" and "Extension.new" lines makes everything fine. Has anyone seen this kind of weirdness before? -- rob partington % rjp@browser.org % http://lynx.browser.org/
