From: Sebastian Paul Date: 2002-11-05T07:21:02+09:00 Subject: Using Ruby under Windows Hi, I installed version 1.67 from http://www.rubycentral.com/downloads/ruby-install.html. Most things work fine. But I don't know how to import libraries. I tried the library mwdom from http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/raa-list.rhtml?id=661. There are examples which require "xmlscan". When I run these files (ruby parsetest.rb) , I just get the following error: parsetest.rb:1:in `require': No such file to load -- xmlscan (LoadError) from test.rb:1 So I have to install xmlscan. The readme-file tells me "Copy lib/xmlscan directory in this distribution to site_ruby". Where do I have to place libraries exactly? I try C:\ruby\lib\ruby\site_ruby\xmlscan - same error C:\ruby\lib\ruby\site_ruby\1.6\xmlscan - and so on... I just don't know where and how Ruby searches for libraries. Do I have to set environment variables? Or set the full path in the require-statement? Thanks for help! Sebastian
